Edith Cowan University is the top university for undergraduate teaching quality among all public universities in Australia as recognized by Quality Indicators for Teaching and Learning 2020 (QILT) and this has been achieved for six years in a row now. Named after the first woman elected in the Australian Parliament and a true Western Australian, Edith Dircksey Cowan, who championed many social issues including women’s right to vote and education for children. ECU has three campuses in Western Australia, two of which are in the metropolitan Perth (Joondalup and Mount Lawley) and one regional campus in the Southwest (Bunbury campus).
