Over the past 50 years, Centennial College has transformed itself from a local community college to a worldly recognised institution, with a presence in countries like China, India, South Korea and Brazil. The focus has always been on preparing graduates to enter the workforce, while teaching international students to be leaders. The institution has worked to build lasting partnerships with local communities, while preparing the graduates to succeed globally. As a leader in internationalization, the college has done extensive work teaching international students. 

Centennial is one of Canada's top colleges for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. This is why it has brought the Applied Research and Innovation Centre (ARIC), the Centre of Entrepreneurship (COE), and the Wearable, Interactive, and Mobile Technology Access centre for Health (WIMTACH) together into a single unit named ARIES (Applied Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Services).
